long time, no post!

I have been so bad at keeping up with posting....there might be a few grandparents doing cartwheels with a new post to look at!

We are having a great summer so far.  The kids are having fun and we are keeping busy.  One of their favorite things to do is ride their bikes in the driveway....

 As for Norah, she is growing like a WEED!  She is 6 months old and it has gone by in a flash.  she is doing good at sitting up on her own and getting more into playing with toys on the floor.

I will try to be better about documenting our summer fun....we hope you are enjoying yours!

catching up

Here is a few of the things we have been up to in the last month or so...

For spring break, we went to Disneyland.  We met Brooke's parents and sister there and it was so fun.  way too crowded, but still fun.

Gracie got to be a princess for a day

And she could never get enough of eating pickles...weird, huh?

We rode lots of rides

 and Jake even got in a little surfing

When we got home, we decided to plant our little garden.  The kids were so excited to help out and are excited to see it grow.

seriously cold

The past few days have been VERY cold here.  Tuesday was the first day of the frigid cold....with the windchill, it was -17....yikes!  Jake didn't have school on Wednesday and had late start today.  Yesterday afternoon, the kids decided to brave the cold to play in the snow. 
Grace soaked up the warmth of the blanket before heading outside.

 Jake had been so excited all day long to play in the snow, so he headed on out by himself

 Then Grace decided to join him.

I for one am ready for it to warm up, but i'm glad the kids were able to enjoy some fun in the snow.

too big too fast

Alot of people have commented that Norah looks an awful lot like Jake.  Today i went thru Jake and Gracies pictures when they were about the age that Norah is to see if there were any similarities.  while looking at their baby pictures, i was amazed at how big those two are now and how in no time at all, Norah will be too.

I definitely see that norah and jake look a lot alike!

Last night, Jake was getting Norah to smile quite a bit.  She is smiling more and more everyday!  The first shot looks more like she is pooping, but i promise, it was a nice big smile.

Then these two had to ham it up for the camera.
