catching up

Here is a few of the things we have been up to in the last month or so...

For spring break, we went to Disneyland.  We met Brooke's parents and sister there and it was so fun.  way too crowded, but still fun.

When we got home, we decided to plant our little garden.  The kids were so excited to help out and are excited to see it grow.

seriously cold

The past few days have been VERY cold here.  Tuesday was the first day of the frigid cold....with the windchill, it was -17....yikes!  Jake didn't have school on Wednesday and had late start today.  Yesterday afternoon, the kids decided to brave the cold to play in the snow. 
Grace soaked up the warmth of the blanket before heading outside.

 Jake had been so excited all day long to play in the snow, so he headed on out by himself

 Then Grace decided to join him.

I for one am ready for it to warm up, but i'm glad the kids were able to enjoy some fun in the snow.

Alot of people have commented that Norah looks an awful lot like Jake.  Today i went thru Jake and Gracies pictures when they were about the age that Norah is to see if there were any similarities.  while looking at their baby pictures, i was amazed at how big those two are now and how in no time at all, Norah will be too.

I definitely see that norah and jake look a lot alike!

Last night, Jake was getting Norah to smile quite a bit.  She is smiling more and more everyday!  The first shot looks more like she is pooping, but i promise, it was a nice big smile.

this week

We have had a few fun things going on this week in preparation for Christmas.  Monday we took the kids to the mall to see santa.  Jake was all over it, but Grace wanted nothing to do with Santa and Norah slept thru it all.

On Wednesday  Jake had his Christmas program at school.  It was so fun to go see what they had been working so hard on.  

As I was putting this post together, i realized how much I have been neglecting taking pictures of Norah, so i immediately went to work and here are a few shots of her.  Jake came in the room and decided he wanted to be in some of the pictures.  He is such a good brother to Norah and Grace.  When he gets home from school, the first thing out of his mouth is "where is Norah?"  These 2 girls are lucky to have him for a big brother.
